Reflection. I did it! I resigned from my job of the last 9 years. Now what? Time off? Jump back into the sales rep. life as an independent? Retire? ....just kidding Cre. U-turn now reflects a change in lifestyle not just an event that precedes the taking of a picture.
I have been chasing this poor Egret around for months trying to get an interstesting shot. This was the most amazing evening. Great light and color and finally, this poor Egret can eat in peace!
I got up early this morning to watch a friend run out in the headlands. In between the start and the finsh I spend time shooting the surfers, they ended up being my favorite pics of the days.
This beautiful tree was hidden amounst a large grove of Red Woods. The sun somehow found it's was to the forest floor just in time for me to get this shot. One of us likes the B/W, the other prefers the color. Anyone what to weigh in?
In May of 08, U-turn took on a meaning of it's own. I left the job I had done for 9 years in the industry I had work in for over 20 years. I was given and took the once in a life time opportunity to stop, go back and do it again. A mid-life u-turn.
I have worked along side my husband selling his art and loved every moment. I have spent hours and hours getting to work on my photography, cooking, be with family and friends, relaxing, enjoying, stressing out , being there, much of which I may have missed had I not u-turned. I can't thank Chris, Grandma and Grandpa and all the other family and friends enough for supporting me in this and making it possible.
Hope you enjoy my pictures.
Many Thanks!
Andrea
