At the Zoo

Between rain storms, Chris and I spent the day at the San Francisco Zoo. I had anticipated fun shots of the Tiger, Giraffes and Monkeys, but it was the Flamingos that took me by surprise. Not only are they beautifully colored, but they make such interesting shapes. I can't wait to go back and get more shots of them. Flamingos Rock!!!

Northern Bridge

I have passed this bridge many times over the past 9 years and always thought it was a beautiful spot. Today, with the fog, it was to beautiful to pass by. Big Thank You to the officer who stop to check on me and remind me that I was technically on a freeway and was not permitted to pull over but allowed me to take a few pictures anyway!

Here Comes the Sun!

I had this idea of taking a picture of the last sunset of 07 (got that)and the first sunrise of 08...well, how about the 7th. I did not quite make the first sunrise and then took off for a salesmeeting in LA, causing me to miss 2-6. This may have been worth the wait.

In case you missed it...here it is..the final sunset of 2007. As you can see, 07 went up in a blaze of glory. Happy New Year everyone!

Christmas Eve-Eve

This was one of those lucky shots. I looked out our living room window to this amazing full moon rising...jumped in the car and 5 minutes down the road. I was not sure where I was going but I found this clearing just as the moon started to line up with the Angel Island Christmas tree.



The Bridge is one of my favorite locations. We are about 5 minutes away and I often drive up around sunset. It is constantly changing. Sometimes dramatic and sometimes just amazing.

Breakfast

This amazing young peregrine falcon (thank you Matthew, my bird of prey expert) decided to eat his breakfast on the roof of the house next to us. We were able to watch him for a good 15 minutes as he enjoyed his meal and kept an eye out for the crows hoping to pick up a scrap or two from him.

Visitor

The same day I shot the coyote, I had to chase this little guy out of the house...he is looking in the window and wanting back in.
